Julia Emelogu

Julia Emelogu is a self taught jeweller designer and maker, who combined 2 passions, fabulous jewellery and the healing properties and energies of healing crystals, to create a distinctive collection of statement sterling silver and copper wire work bohochic jewellery, to form Joolzery in 2013, whilst recovering from a life threatening medical condition.

When not making jewellery Julia is running her Business Intelligence consultancy and training business, Maximum Impact Solutions, creating insightful operational, marketing and sales reports for clients from their organisations’ databases, or teaching them how to do it themselves, mainly using Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Services, and volunteering for various national organisations, including the Princes Trust.

During lockdown, having lost 95% of her business due to clients going into furlough, Julia was able to use the extra time of her hands to learn various metal-smithing techniques that she never had the time to, to create her fabulous collection of bezel set contemporary, quirky and/or organic rings, pendants, hoops and studs.

The minimalist and geometric jewellery is designed and made using recycled sterling silver and copper, and ethically sourced healing crystals, in her attic studio, with inspiration from Antoni Gaudi, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Architecture and Nature, with the setting designed to show of the brilliance of the healing stones.

My creative process is very fluid, every day is a learning day, and I love playing and experimenting with new designs and techniques pushing the boundaries, taking classics and adding a twist.

As well as ready to wear I take on commissions.
