After graduating in Design, I worked for many years as a designer/maker of stained glass.
I later retrained in computer graphics, got a job working on a Mac and have never looked back. The pure colour of the glass that originally interested me at art school is still present in my work when printed digitally with archive pigment and when I work with traditional ink.

I like to work in various media, choosing which technique lends itself to the design the best. My prints all start from observational sketchbook work, looking at line, colour, light and shadow, which are then developed into digital prints or traditional printmaking, looking at whichever technique suits the design the best.
I really like the option of turning a design into a traditional print and actually making it with my hands as opposed to pressing the print option on a computer. I also use photography as a starting point for an idea or as the finished piece of work.
I look forward to sharing my creative journey with you at Oxton Art fair.
