Through the marrying of their individual creative practices, visual artists Angela Stringer and Nicky Perrin create site-specific mixed media artworks grounded in place, using natural earth pigments and botanical dyes.

Engaging with their local Wirral environment and beyond, they gather raw materials such as rocks, soil, clay and botanical matter, hand processing these into fine pigments, natural dyes, and paint, which they layer over rust prints made with discarded objects.

Weaving in the stories of place and acknowledging its history and significance, their work considers heritage, sustainability, and wellbeing, whilst establishing a physical and metaphorical connection to the natural world. It is a conversation with the land, the past, the seasons, and each other.
