This year has been somewhat like Piglet’s!…
“Piglet was sitting on the ground at the door of his house blowing happily at a dandelion, and wondering whether it would be this year, next year, sometime or never. He discovered that it would be never, and then tried to remember what “it” was.“ – A. A. Milne

I have been fortunate to have had a career as an illustrator spanning fifty years.
It has been a joy to be given the chance to interpret the texts of writers such as Brian Patten,
Berlie Doherty, Helen Cresswell and Dick King-Smith and to work with a variety of publishers, including Puffin Books, Pan Macmillan, Random House, Harper Collins and Barefoot Books.

This year it has been a pleasure to do three illustrations for the lovely, mysterious stories
“Three Winter Tales of Darkness and Light”, by the writer Mary Earnshaw who lives in Lancashire. These have been printed and hand sewn with the cover illustration tipped in by Ken Burnley at The Museum of Printing, Armorini Antiques Birkenhead. These can be purchased from Mary Earnshaw at
