Lynda Roberts

Lynda’s richly layered, multi media collages combine both the built environment and the natural landscape. Layers of colourful textures are applied using oil sticks, gouache and graphite.

In addition to her collages she produces digitally printed scarves, porcelain mugs, cotton tea towels and cards from her designs.

Her latest work, ‘A form in the landscape’ considers walls as a boundary, an edge, a site for shelter and nesting in an area she visits frequently, Bardsey Island:

Having just returned from Nepal, with a full sketchbook, she is continuing this theme, fusing Nepalese buildings, crumbling textures and vibrant colours, with sparsely inhabited landscape.

Her background is a degree from the Glasgow School of Art in Textile Design, six years working in design studios in Canada before a teaching career on the Wirral.
