The often overlooked details in nature interest me: the veins on a leaf, the lichen on a rock, roots in the soil and the patterns of land and sea. These inspire my work which uses a variety of printing techniques  and natural dyeing on fabric, enhanced by free machine embroidery. I aim to fascinate the eye with detail, pattern and colour.

An Art A level  in textiles as a mature student moved my interest in fabric from the practical  towards free machine embroidery as an art form. I have been exhibiting with textile groups and the Oxton Art Fair since retiring  from full time work.
