I paint in oils and work expressively, trying to capture something of the feelings I have being ‘home’ in Ireland. I’m not concerned with painting a replica of the landscape, I have to bring something of myself to the work. Being in the Irish landscape  is a particular experience I don’t feel anywhere else; I feel rooted within it, always knowing I have to leave, creating an urgency to record before it is lost to me again. The process of painting is about holding on.

I studied Fine Art to Masters level at LJMU. I have exhibited at the ROI, RCA, RUA, the Baltic and show locally at the Lake Gallery.
