IllustrationI have had a long career an illustrator of Children’s Books, working with manypublishers, including Puffin Books, Random House, Harper Collins, Scholastic, Pan Macmillan and Barefoot Books.
Being given the chance to interpret the text of great writers such as Berlie Doherty, Helen Cresswell, Brian Patten and Dick King-Smith is a joy.
Alongside illustration I have always painted more personal work of the kind shown at the Oxton Art Fair or for commissions.A lot of these paintings are miniature in scale. Some are painted on vellum. I work in gouache, watercolour, and use scraper board engraving as a foundation for hand coloured prints. VIEW SIAN'S BLOG
