Artist Laura Weston is excited to be sharing a new collection of canvas paintings created in West Kirby, drawing on the intersection between painting, printmaking and sketchbooks.

The collection features Whimbrels, Oyster Catchers, Cormorants, and other birds that she has spied out of the corner of her eye. She will bring her sketchbooks if you fancy a rifle through too!

Each sketchbook is evidence that she is a bit of a daydreamer & purposefully leans into that through her art – particularly right now.

Growing up in Oxton Village, school was a bit of a chore.  After spectacularly failing all but one A level due to often staring out of the windows at trees, she was blessed to attend the brilliant Wirral art foundation course. This was followed by a BA Fine Art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic specialising in film and Printmaking. Graduating with 1st Class honours, she adored University life so much she set on building a 28 year academic career teaching art and design.

Now she is exploring a creative life and trying out new things.
