Joseph Venning
Joseph Venning is a contemporary painter whose large scale
murals and canvas’ typically combine loads of images painted in a variety of styles ranging from
photorealism to
street art and
impressionism.
Joseph has been a full-time artist for over ten years and in that time produced artwork for The
Liver buildings,
Beyond Van Gogh, Everton Football Club, Manchester United, Manchester’s
Bee in the City Festival,
The Williamson Art Gallery, The
Bruntwood Plaza, and among many others.
Joseph recently painted a
40 metre long mural entitled ‘The Liverpool Wall of Fame’. Situated at The Kings Dock near the M and S Arena. The mural features 50 portraits of famous Liverpudlians from the worlds of music, culture and sports. Some of the people depicted have seen the artwork and given it their thumbs up, including
Holly Johnstone, Beth Tweddle, Natasha Jonas, and
Lady Dodd.
Joseph also had two of his more experimental paintings included in the prestigious
New Light Prize exhibition that showcases the best artists from throughout the North of England.
