Gill Curry

During the past few years Gill’s print work has been influenced by a two-acre garden in Altadena, California where Nathan, her son, lived and looked after during Covid. The resulting reduction, four colour lino prints and etchings are an attempt to reproduce the wonderful, wild sub-tropical secret garden, a lush landscape of safety in difficult times.

Nearer to home Gill has watched LUMA , a new Photographic Gallery, grow over the past decade, on the Parc des Ateliers, to be opened in Arles in 2021. From the top of the tower a panorama of Arles, the Roman amphitheatre, the distant horizons of the Camargue, fields of sunflowers and the mountains of Les Alpilles have provided subjects for etching, lino, and woodcut during 2022.
