The essence of my work is to draw what is going on around me; my intention is to capture the energy of a subject in a celebratory portrayal of life communicated through textiles.

I am interested in depicting what people are doing  from everyday incidental to extraordinary, this might be sketches of joggers in the park or drawings of dogs and their owners.

“She can capture a gesture, a movement or a moment in time in a seemingly unconscious, fluid mark and in doing so reveal its greater significance.” – Polly Leonard, Selvedge.
